Cinelerra is one of the more sophisticated editing tools and has an interesting web site as well. Developed by folks in the professional video editing field, it was one of the earliest 64 bit NLE tools (2002?). Seems to have been inspired by Adobe Premiere and AVID, we will check out its features

  1. Check on my desktop. Looks like community is in standard Arch Repo and Good Guy is available through AUR. Heroine is too out of date to consider.

    [brian@brian-arch-desktop ~]$ yaourt -Ss Cinelerra
    community/cinelerra-cv 1:2.3-2
Professional video editing and compositing environment
    aur/cin 5.1-20171231 (1) (0.44)
    Cinelerra git://git.cinelerra-cv.org/goodguy/cinelerra.git (20171231)
    aur/cin-bin 5.1-20174 (Out of Date) (7) (0.00)
    Cinelerra (5.1) (20174)
    aur/cin-git 5.1.20170731-1 (1) (0.05)
Cinelerra maintained by Good Guy (git version)
    aur/cinelerra-heroine 4.6-2 (Out of Date) (6) (0.00)
    Cinelerra from the HeroineWarrior.com (64-bit)
    [brian@brian-arch-desktop ~]$

  2. The version on AUR maybe out of date, but the version purported by HV appears to be 7.0
Right now they are migrating to another data center, so the site is offline
