This guided should be useful for people involved in the political process, as well as for businesses that work or want to work on government contracts. From fixing a broken sidewalk to obtaining a crime report, the Michigan Freedom of Information Act is a versatile tool to ensure that you are not ignored when it is your turn to deal with City Hall.

Edward Vielmetti is a writer and entrepreneur based in Ann Arbor, MI. He wrote the weekly “FOIA Friday” column for the AnnArbor.com newspaper. Ed has 30 years of Internet experience, including work as a consulting engineer at Cisco Systems, co-founder of MSEN, a Michigan based Internet Service Provider, and work with Syntech Development on solar energy control and monitoring systems. SIG-Linux
Topic: Docker Containers:

SIG-Linux Chairman Brian Brodsky will continue the discussion on Docker Containers under Ubuntu. From Docker’s website: Docker containers wrap a piece of software in a complete filesystem that contains everything needed to run: code, runtime, system tools, system libraries – anything that can be installed on a server. This guarantees that the software will always run the same, regardless of its environment.

All are welcome.
